“The Face of Time” by Jocelyn Warner
“I work in a variety of media, I’m constantly trying out new ideas and materials. I’ve been a silk painter for more than a decade, and that continues to be my passion. After my first daughter was born I began making whimsical clocks for the playroom. I bought a secondhand scroll saw and began fine-tuning the cut-outs to paint. This has evolved over the years to include my love of ceramics, especially my love for Raku. My children are growing up and my clocks designs have evolved to express my love of nature and landscapes. I also enjoy incorporating texture and figures or objects of interest to my pieces.”
In the Portal Gallery, you will find an eclectic and whimsical variety of time pieces as well as a few other things. Be sure to come by and check them out!
