Shades of Grey

April 26 – June 8, 2019

Opening Reception: Friday, April 26 from 5 pm to 7 pm

Grey is an understated but respected color. With age comes wisdom and grey hairs. We see grey as something muted and neutral, but it’s filled with mood and emotion. Grey is simultaneously the absence of color and the presence of light. This color also inspired artists across New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona, to enter into our fourth exhibit of 2019, Shades of Grey.

Over 50 artists have come together to show us what grey means to them. Some saw it as an opportunity to shed a different light on the world around them. Others brought their emotions, inner music, or political statements into their work. While the gallery will have a monochromatic ambiance, the artists’ messages will be alive with color.

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in our Shades of Grey exhibit!
