March 8 – April 20, 2019

Opening Reception: Friday, March 8 from 5 pm to 7 pm

Almost 40 artists from around northern New Mexico have been selected for our second juried exhibit of the year, Fences. Some artists saw fences as looming symbols of oppression, keeping the good of the world out and preventing those within from progressing. Some presented us with internal fences; psychological battle grounds from which we cannot escape. Some artists took on our current political environment by shining a light on impending barriers at the border and those affected by climate change. Many of the pieces that you’ll see on display are literal interpretations of the theme, depicted in various emotional perspectives. Come see the 65 pieces of art on display and vote on your favorite piece in our Viewer’s Choice Award!
